Yep, I've changed the name of my blog. I am changing my focus from weight loss (although I still plan to lose weight) to training for the Shepherd Maple Syrup run. I ran this race in 2007 and I would like to run it again in April. If I start now, I should be able to get into fairly decent shape by then. Since this is Thursday, my workout is in the morning.

Thoughts: I got out on the road at 9:15 am. I am really out of shape. My focus is to keep my HRM at 121 BPM. My short term goal is to get out there at least 6 days a week.
How far is this run you want to do???I think you can totally do this Mary! Its good to change focus. If something is not working change it. Maybe this is a good goal for you to keep you motivated. Too bad theres not something between now and April.....6 days a week ,now that motivation i do not have. The best i can manage is every other day. I need the day in between to get other stuff done. Yeah Mary! You can do this!

ReplyDeleteJinx, It's not a long race. It's a 5k. I know I won't be able to get out 6 days a week, but I am committing myself to do at least 30 minutes of something everyday that will help me prepare.
